O. Vikum Dies at Morrison After Long Sickness
O. Vikum, who made his home with the Jas. Wilson family at Morrison for over 21 years, died there Sept. 15.
Mr. Vikum had been ailing for the past four years, suffering with high blood pressure and heart trouble. He was bedfast the past two weeks.
His wife preceded him in death a number of years ago.
Mr. Vikum has been a resident of Morrison for a number of years, being section foreman on the Rock Island until his retirement. He was 78 years old.
He leaves three children, Carl of Waterloo; Mrs. Allen Mason of Traer and Mrs. Stearns, of Buckingham.
Funeral was held at the Presbyterian church Sunday afternoon, Sept. 16. Rev. Black of Amity church officiated, and interment took place in the cemetery south of town, beside the remains of his wife.
A number of friends from Traer were here in attendance at the funeral.
