Mrs. Eilts Dies At Fern From Old Age

Mrs. Friederika Eilts died at her home in Fern Thursday forenoon at eleven o'clock. Death which was due to old age came quite suddenly.

Funeral services conducted by Rev. Paulsen were held at Salem Lutheran church in Beaver township Saturday. Burial was in the Lutheran cemetery by the side of the husband who died 21 years ago.

Obituary
Mrs. Eilts' maiden name was Friederika Hippen. She was born March 7, 1853, in Shlower Fehn, Germany, and baptized March 13, 1853.

She was married to Adolf Eilts March 10, 1873, in Bangstede. After their emigration to America they lived for several years in Illinois. From there they moved to Iowa and lived in Fern over 40 years.

Her age at the time of her death was 80 years, 2 months and 24 days. She leaves to mourn her death one brother and one sister in Germany, and a step-daughter, Mrs. Harm Hippen, near Stout.
