Former Grundy Man Died Suddenly Monday Night

William C. Behrens, a former resident of Grundy county, was found dead in his bed at his home in Cedar Falls Tuesday morning. He had been in apparent good health when he went to bed the evening before. His death was due to heart trouble.

Mr. Behrens was born in August of 1873 in Grundy county and grew to manhood here. In 1898 he married Mathiloa Gauder. Eighteen years ago the family moved to Cedar Falls to reside. Mr. Behrens for many years was engaged in the cement construction business until about six years ago, when, in partnership with his brother, J. F., he built a filling station at Fourteenth and Waterloo streets, in operation of which he had since been active.

Surviving are the widow; three sons, Erwin, Des Moines; Milton, who is teaching at Morton, Minn., and Glen, at home, and two brothers, J. F. Behrens, 417 East Fourteenth street, and G. W. Behrens, 1715 Washington street, Cedar Falls.
