Former Grant Twp. Woman Dies Suddenly In Waterloo

Mrs. Pat Stevens, a former Grant township woman, died suddenly at her home in Waterloo Thursday. Heart failure was the cause. Mr. Stevens, who is working in the Rath Packing Company plant in Waterloo, found his wife dead in his home when he returned from work in the afternoon.

Funeral services were held in St. Mary's Catholic church in Waterloo Saturday morning. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery in Grant township.

Margaret Ann Flynn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Flynn, was born Oct. 24, 1868, at Newton, Iowa. She was married April 25, 1899, to Patrick J. Stevens in St. Mary's Catholic church near Dike in Grundy county. They made their home on a farm in Black Hawk county until four years ago, when they moved to Waterloo.

Surviving are her husband, daughter, Mrs. Robert Landsran, Chicago; son William 1610 Fourth street east; two brothers, Timothy Flynn, Fayette, Ia., and John Flynn, Ft. Dodge, and one sister, Mrs. John Bonn, Cedar Falls, Iowa.
