Reinbeck Woman Dies In Waterloo Hospital

Mrs. Henry Schneckloth, of Reinbeck, died about 2 o'clock Thursday morning at the Allen Memorial hospital in Waterloo where she had undergone a serious operation Wednesday morning.

Her last illness had not been a long one. About a month ago she suffered from jaundice and was treated in a hospital for a time. When she gained in strength an exploratory operation was decided upon and this showed an advanced cancerous condition was responsible for the jaundice. So far was this condition advanced that nothing could be done to help and death from the disease and shock followed the operation in a few days.

Doris Wulf was born in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, Nov. 8, 1860. She came to the United States at the age of twenty-four, going first to Davenport, where she was married Feb. 21, 1885, to Henry Schneckloth. They lived for a time in Gladbrook but soon moved to Grundy county and for the last eighteen years have made their home in Reinbeck.

Besides her husband she is survived by one son, Otto, of Reinbeck. A brother died three years ago.

Funeral services were held at the home in Reinbeck Saturday afternoon. The services were conducted by the Rev. J. B. Pollock.
