Jim McCullough Dies At Daughter's Home

Born in Clinton; Came to Grundy Center 25 Years Ago

Jim McCullough died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. R. S. Taft, in Grundy Center Friday afternoon. He had been afflicted with hardening of the arteries for several years. Several weeks ago he suffered a stroke of paralysis and failed gradually from that time until the end came.

Funeral services were held at the Coffman mortuary Sunday afternoon. Burial was by the side of the wife in the Grundy Center cemetery. Rev. J. B. Bird, pastor of the Methodist church, conducted the funeral service.

Mr. McCullough was born in Clinton county. He would have been 74 years old on July 28th. He grew up and was married at Clinton. About forty years ago the family moved to Britt, Iowa, where they remained fifteen years before coming to Grundy. He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. R. S. Taft, and by his son, Roy, from Fort Collins, Colorado. A brother, Frank, is living at Lisbon, Iowa.
