Whitten Woman Dies Suddenly Of Apoplexy
End Comes Suddenly Wednesday Morning For Mrs. Flossie Vera Cox
Mrs. Flossie Vera Cox died suddenly from apoplexy Wednesday at her home in Whitten at about 7:30 in the morning. She was found dead on the floor of her room upstairs. She had some trouble previously with her heart, but this trouble was not regarded as serious.
Mrs. Cox was 43 years old. She had lived in the Whitten community all of her life. In late years she had been making her home with her father, Joseph Baker. Her husband left home several years ago. His whereabouts are not known. Mrs. Cox had but one child, a daughter, Jeane, who was killed in an automobile accident Sept. 9, 1928. Mrs. Cox's mother died several years ago.
Funeral services will be held at the Church of Christ in Whitten Friday afternoon at two o'clock, with the local pastor, Rev. Briggs, in charge. Burial will be in the Benson cemetery. The casket will be open at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral services.
