Julia L. Wulf, 89, of Wellsburg, Iowa, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2015 at the Grundy Care Center while under the care of Cedar Valley Hospice. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at the First Christian Reformed Church in rural Wellsburg. Burial will take place at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the memorial service at the church.

Julia was born on February 17, 1926 in Shiloh Township, Grundy County. She was the daughter of William and Elsie (Heikens) Wulf. Julia was raised in rural Wellsburg and attended Wellsburg Community School, graduating in 1943. She moved from Wellsburg to Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1958 to attend the Pine Rest Christian Hospital School of Nursing. She earned her license as a Psychiatric Nurse and worked for Pine Rest Christian Hospital for over 30 years until her retirement. She returned to Wellsburg in 2003 and lived there until 2009 when she entered the Grundy Care Center in Grundy Center.

Julia was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church and the Queen Esther. She enjoyed taking bus trips, playing the organ and piano and taking care of flowers.

Julia is survived by her daughter Rachel (Glen) Bakker of Steamboat Rock, IA; her grandchildren Jason (Deb) Bakker of Wellsburg, IA, Andrew (Lori) Bakker of Highlands Ranch, CO and Kristy (Jeff) Kopaska of Ames, IA and her great-grandchildren Taylor, Jonah, Jaxon, Alexa, Cassandra and Brianna.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Harriet Kitzman and her brother-in-law Charles Kitzman.
