Mrs. John Olthoff Funeral Services Saturday

Funeral services for Mrs. John Olthoff, who died on Dec. 17th at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Paterni living south of Wellsburg, were held at the Reformed church at Wellsburg Saturday afternoon with Rev. Wm. Landsiedel officiating.

Mrs. Olthoff was 69 years, 4 months and 5 days old at the time of her death. She was born in Forreston, Ill., and came to Grundy county with her parents when she was a little girl and made her home here continually. The family resided on a farm south of town.

While Mrs. Olthoff's death came quite suddenly from heart failure, she had not been in good health for several years. About two years ago she suffered a stroke which resulted in the loss of her speech.

The surviving children are Mrs. Fred Gossel from Hot Springs, South Dakota, Mrs. Henry Paterni from Wellsburg, and Mrs. Fred Schmidt, Jr., from Holland. There are two surviving sons, Andrew and Odie, both from this county.

The pallbearers were C. J. Schmidt, John and Harm O'Kones, C. O. Nederhoff, Jurgen Lutterman and Henry Primus.
