Christ Krog died at his home at Dike Monday night following an illness of two years from pernicious anemia.

There are few if any people living in Grundy county who were here when Mr. Krog came to the county with his folks. That was sixty-five years ago. The family located on a farm near Fredsville. Later, Mr. Krog married there and made his home on a farm. He continued a resident of his Fairfield township farm until fifteen years ago when the family moved to Dike, where they have since resided. Mr. Krog was 74 years old at the time of his death. He was a successful farmer and was the owner of 400 acres of land in Fairfield township at the time of his death. His wife died three years ago.

Mr. Krog is survived by seven children, two being sons and there are five daughters. The sons are Ole, who resides on one of the Krog farms, and George, who is living in Dike. The daughters are Mrs. Clarence Frederickson, Mrs. James Kirstoffen, Mrs. Harold Hansen and Carrie and Ellen Krog.

Funeral services are being held today from the Fredsville church of which the deceased was a member since this country church was organized.
