Death of Mrs. Leo Billman

Mrs. Leo Billman, who was taken to the St. Francis hospital at Waterloo last Thursday morning, died at that place that evening about eleven o'clock after an illness with ulcers of the stomach.

Margaret Tallman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Tallman, was born in Cascade, Iowa, August 17, 1895, and was raised and educated at that place. She was married to Leo Billman at Waterloo on March 17, 1915.

She leaves to mourn her untimely taking away her husband and seven small children, the oldest being but twelve years of age; her father and seven brothers and sisters.

Funeral services were held at Grant Center Catholic church Saturday morning at 9 o'clock conducted by the pastor, Rev. Boyle of Grundy Center, and the remains laid to rest in the Grant Center cemetery.

Those from a distance present at the funeral were--Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tallman, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Tallman, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tallman and Miss Florence Tallman, all of Cascade; Mr. and Mrs. Tony Wendt of Dubuque; Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Graham; Fred Billman and daughter Marlys, and Lee Hurlbut, all of Cedar Falls.

The sympathy of the entire community will go out to this family in their bereavement and especially to these small children, who will so miss their mother's love and care. --Dike New Era.
