Funeral services for Mrs. Willard Trexler, of Charles City, who died at her home at that place Monday, were held at the Ivester church Wednesday. Burial was made in the Alice cemetery. Mrs. Trexler lived on a farm in Melrose township for a number of years before moving to Charles City. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, four sisters and three brothers.

Former Grundy Woman Dead

Mary H. Trexler was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Strickler. She was born March 25, 1865, in Carroll county, Ill. When a small child she came with her parents to Grundy county, Iowa, where she grew to womanhood endeared by many friends. On Feb. 21, 1884, she was united in marriage with Willard J. Trexler. To this union one child was born, Emma, now Mrs. Chas. G. Smith. In 1894 she became a Christian and united with the Church of God.

On May 8, 1928, she was stricken with pneumonia and passed away on May 14 at the Cedar Valley hospital at Charles City, Iowa, aged 63 years, 1 months and 19 days. She leaves to mourn her death her husband, daughter, son-in-law, and one grandchild, Eldon, four sisters and three brothers, besides a host of relatives and friends.

She was brought to her childhood home May 15 and funeral services were conducted from the Brethren church at Ivester, and she was laid to rest in the beautiful Alice cemetery, Rev. Masemore of the Church of God officiating.
