Miss May Mason Passes Away

Death Very Sudden and Unexpected Came Wednesday Evening

Miss May Mason, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mason, of this city, passed away about nine o'clock last evening at the hospital at Independence to which place she was taken about a week ago in the hopes that she would be benefited by treatments that she would receive there.

Miss Mason was thirty-six years of age and has lived here all her life.

Funeral services will be held at the home on Friday afternoon at 1:30 and interment will be in the Grundy Center cemetery.

Obituary of Miss Ida Mae Mason

Miss Ida Mae Mason, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mason, passed away January 11th, 1928, of acute nephritis, aged 37 years and 5 days. She was born about four miles southeast of Grundy Center January 6th, 1891. She graduated from high school at Morrison in the Class of 1910. She moved to Grundy Center with her parents in 1917, where her home has been ever since.

Miss Mason was converted and united with the Baptist church at the age of 17 and was a devoted Christian all her life. At about the age of 20 she was afflicted and since that time has been shut out of many of the activities of life, has been unusually patient and spent much time in making fancy work and doing many kindnesses for others.

She was preceded by one brother, Roger, who died in 1910, and is survived by her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mason, and two brothers, Jasper of West Burlington, Iowa, and Floyd of Ames, Iowa, besides many friends. The interment was at Grundy Center.
