Mrs. A. W. Price
Mrs. A. W. Price, for many years a resident of Whitten, passed away at three o'clock on Tuesday morning, December 27th, 1927, of acute nephritis. Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon. Obituary will be published next week.

Mrs. A. W. Price
Elizabeth Meyers Price, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Meyers, was born in Somerset county, Pa., Dec. 30, 1870. At the time of her death she was 57 years, 11 months and 27 days of age.
She came with her parents to Marshall county, Iowa, in 1876. A few years later they came to Grundy county, where she resided the greater part of her life.
She was married to Alvin W. Price Dec. 31, 1890. To this union five children were born: Ralph, who preceded her in death in 1908; Mrs. Edna Klosky, of Detroit, Mich.; Ray, of Grundy Center; Dewey and Mrs. Jennie Landers, of Davenport. Besides the children, she is survived by her husband, six grandchildren, 6 brothers, Harvey, Tobias, Joe and Cyrus of Grundy Center, Elias of Plainfield, Iowa, and Sam of Whitten, four sisters, Mrs. Lydia Lewis and Mrs. Ida Freed of Eldora, Mrs. Mary Vinton of St. Cloud, Minn., and Mrs. Amanda Callaway of Whitten.
Mrs. Price was a faithful member of the Church of the Brethren at Ivester since about 1877. She is outstanding for her kindness as a neighbor, always ready to assist in time of need. --unreadable-- being especially helpful in the sickroom.
She has been a faithful and loving mother, sacrificing much for her family, even to physical limit. Her children will ever be helped to higher things in life because of her and their father's teaching and example.
Funeral services were held at Ivester Thursday afternoon, Dec. 29th, 1927.
