Jake Lindaman Dead

Jake Lindaman of Wellsburg died Saturday. The cause of death was cancer of the stomach. Funeral services were held Wednesday. A full account of Mr. Lindaman's life will be in next week's Democrat. Mr. Lindaman was one of the well known farmers of German township and was 61 years old. He leaves his wife and eleven children, two children died in infancy.

The following account of the life of Jacob Lindaman, notice of whose death was contained in last week's Democrat, is furnished us for publication:

Jacob Lindaman was born June 5, 1856, at Lokwart Ostfriesland, Germany, and died Feb. 9, 1918, at Wellsburg, age 61 years, 7 months, and 24 days.

He came to America with his parents at 5 years of age, the family settling first around Freeport, Illinois, leaving there in 1866, for Grundy County, Iowa.

He was married in 1882 to Katie Groenveldt. To this union were born thirteen children, two of whom died in infancy. He leaves a widow and eleven children. They are:

Mrs. Menno Buskohl of Dike,
Mrs. Henry Akkerman Jr. of Wellsburg,
Mrs. Riebke VanLoh, of Wellsburg,
Ben, Heye, John, Henry, Wm., and Jake, and Katie and Nannie, at home.

He leaves besides, five brothers: John, Henricus, Henry, William and Ben B. Lindaman.
