Obituary Mrs. Jacob Lindaman

Katy Groeneveld Lindaman was born December 16, 1862, in Baileyville, Ill., and died September 9, 1929, at Wellsburg, Grundy county, Iowa, at the age of 66 years, 8 months and 23 days.

She was married in 1882 to Jacob Lindaman, who preceded her in death February 9, 1918. They resided in Colfax for twenty years and moved to German township in 1902.

To this union thirteen children were born, two of whom died in infancy. She leaves to mourn their loss, eleven children. They are Mrs. Annie Buskohl of Dike, Mrs. Lena VanLoh of Wellsburg, Mrs. Kate VanLoh, Wellsburg; Mrs. Nannie Klingenborg, Aplington, and Heye of Ackley, John, Aplington, Henry of Wellsburg, William of Wellsburg, Mrs. Hy Akkerman, Jr., and Ben and Jake at home, ten grandchildren and one brother, Nan Groeneveld, of Bollington, Minn.

Mrs. Lindaman's death came as a sudden shock Monday morning. Sunday, after the church service she felt fine, enjoyed a hearty meal at noon and had supper and retired at her usual hour. At midnight she awoke with pain, and a physician was summoned, who gave her something immediately. She fell asleep not to awaken again. She died an easy death, apparently without pain or suffering.

Funeral services conducted by Rev. F. W. Engelke were held last Thursday afternoon and they were very largely attended.
