Iwan Cohen, Former Reinbeck Merchant, Dies

Iwan Cohen who for several years was engaged in the mercantile business in Reinbeck died on Feb. 14.

Mr. Cohen operated and founded the Reinbeck department store here in 1938. His wife died in the 40's and her body was cremated and the ashes buried in the Reinbeck cemetery. Mr. Cohen lost his health and suffered from tuberculosis, selling the store to B. Lyle Robinson, who closed out the stock a year ago. Mr. Cohen had been in a sanitarium at Denver, Colo., for several years. He is survived by his son, Fritz, an instructor at the University of Alabama. Cremation and burial of ashes are not known here.
