Jesse E. Warner Dies

Jesse Edward Warner, 84, died at the St. Thomas hospital in Marshalltown at 9 p.m. Wednesday night, following an extended illness. Mr. Warner, who formerly lived in Zion, Ill., was making his home with his daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Slater. He was taken to the hospital Oct. 3rd. Mr. Warner was born in Rumulous, Mich., Sept. 12, 1866. He was married to Margaret Evans on July 8, 1894, in Rumulous, who preceded him in death.

Immediate survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Irvin Slater of Conrad, Mrs. Alvin James of Zion, Ill., and Mrs. Lloyd Summers of Long Beach, Calif., and two sons, Edward of Louisville, Ky., and Harold of Waukegan, Ill. Funeral services for Mr. Warner were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon at the Johnston Funeral home with Rev. W. G. Warren in charge. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Grundy Center.
