Mrs. John Peterson Dies At Iowa City Hospital

Mrs. John Peterson, who spent a large share of her life at Zaneta, died at the University hospital at Iowa City Sunday from bronchial pneumonia. She had been in failing health the past five years.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Church of the Brethren at Hudson. Burial was in the Reinbeck cemetery. She was 69 years old. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert McCurdy and she was born on a farm near Reinbeck. She was married to John Peterson on Dec. 8, 1897, and the couple resided at Zaneta continually.

Surviving are the husband, one daughter, Mrs. Arthur Mackie, Grundy Center; three sons, Erwin, Floyd W. and Allen. One brother, Will McCurdy, and four sisters survive. The sisters are Mrs. Oscar Olson, Mrs. Peter Plaehn, Mrs. Daisy McIntyre and Mrs. Pearl Springer.
