John H. Runft Dies From Stroke

John H. Runft, who had resided in the Reinbeck community 75 years, died at his home at Reinbeck last Friday following a heart attack.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Reinbeck Tuesday afternoon. Burial was in the Reinbeck cemetery. He was 77 years old.

Mr. Runft was born at Sheffield, Ill., July 6th, 1873. At the age of two he came to Reinbeck with his parents. He made his home there continually.

On December 17th, 1897, John Runft and Hattie Fogt were married. The couple started farming near Reinbeck and remained on the farm until a few years ago when they moved to Reinbeck.

Survivors include his wife, three sons, Arthur and Clarence, both of Cedar Falls, and Lloyd, Reinbeck; one daughter, Mrs. Brodie Smith, Grundy Center; two sisters, Mrs. John Blohm, and Miss Emma Runft, both of Reinbeck and one brother, Emil, also of Reinbeck.
