Last Rites Friday For Fred Meyer

Funeral services were held at the Gospel Hall in Stout Friday afternoon for Fred Meyer. The services were conducted by Oliver Smith. Burial was in the cemetery at Stout.

Fred Meyer was found in serious condition on the highway east of Parkersburg on Tuesday of last week and he was removed to the Presbyterian hospital in Waterloo where he died. He was 42 years old.

Fred Meyer was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hemke Meyer. He was born on a Beaver township farm and grew up there. He was married in Waterloo and is the father of two children. The children live with the mother in California. The couple were divorced some time ago.

Surviving are the father, Hemke Meyer; two brothers, Oscar of Beaver township and Cornelius from Waterloo. There are three sisters: Mrs. Ben Stickfort, Dunkerton; Mrs. John Weber, Stout, and \Mrs. Henry Smith, Greene, Ia.
