Raymond Robinson

Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon, July 18th, for Raymond Robinson. He died at his home in Reinbeck on July 16 from hardening of the arteries. Burial was in the Reinbeck cemetery. He was 61 years old.

Raymond Robinson was a son of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Robinson. He was born at Cylinder, Iowa, July 11, 1889. He came to Reinbeck with his parents at the age of 3.

He was stricken with infantile paralysis at an early age, and despite this severe handicap, was able to be man among men and took up the work of bookkeeping, and served in this capacity in many phases throughout his life and was employed the past several years by the Shirey Cement works in Waterloo.

He was married to Emma Doebler in Reinbeck on March 8, 1922. He spent most of his life in this community with exception of two years at Northwood, Iowa, in 1928-29 with the Northwood Auto Co.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. L. W. Rawlings, Waterloo; Mrs. J. P. McAucliffe, Los Angeles, one son, Robert, at home, two grandchildren, Patricia Rawlings and Timothy McAucliffe; two brothers, Edwin of Los Angeles, Calif.; Clair, For Dodge, Iowa, and one sister, Mrs. R. W. Lersch, Waterloo. His parents and one brother, Erwin, preceded him in death.
