Funeral Services Thursday For Mrs. Mary Harken

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Harken, widow of Claus Harken who died 26 years ago, were held Thursday afternoon at the Westfriesland Presbyterian church with Rev. Peter Eckhoff officiating.

Mrs. Harken, the former Mary Schapp, was born Jan. 2, 1881, and died Monday night following illness due to a paralytic stroke suffered some months ago.

She is survived by five children, Isebrand and Jake, Ackley; Mrs. Henry Bertram, Parkersburg, and Will and Anna, at home; 3 grandchildren; 3 brothers, John and Jake Schapp, Austinville, and Peter, Aplington; and two sisters, Mrs. Titus Frohling and Mrs. Will Winterberg, both of Aplington.
