Mrs. Walter Long Dies At Whitten

Funeral services were held in the Methodist church Whitten at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Walter W. Long who died at her farm home a short distance east of Whitten last Saturday. She was 59 years old and had been a resident of Felix township for 37 years.

Mrs. Long's maiden name was Maude Barnes. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Barnes, was born at Union April 3, 1890. She attended school there and at New Providence, and was married at Union Nov. 28, 1907.

Surviving are the widower; five children, Mrs. Vivian Vry, Theodore and Walter Long, Whitten; Neil Long, Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Earlys Berry, Waterloo.

Also surviving are her mother, Mrs. Loretta Barnes, Whitten; 2 sisters, Mrs. M. G. Waugh, Clarksville, and Mrs. A. G. Phillips, of Waterloo, and eight grandchildren.
