Death of Mrs. J. C. Strohbehn

The funeral of Mrs. John C. Strohbehn was held Monday afternoon at the Congregational church in Reinbeck. Rev. A. W. Sinden, of Maquoketa, a former pastor, officiated.

Clara Atwood Strohbehn was the daughter of Patten and Mary Atwood and was born at Reinbeck Oct. 26, 1898. She moved with her parents to Armstrong, where she grew to womanhood, attending the public schools there. She later taught in the public schools. On Jan. 1, 1920, she was married to John C. Strohbehn. To this union were born two daughters, Lavonne and Merna, aged 5 and 1 years respectively. After an illness dating back for more than a year but only becoming apparent the past few months she passed away Saturday morning. Besides her husband and two daughters she leaves her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Patten Atwood, of Armstrong; three brothers, Harold and Lester, of Armstrong, and Clayton, of Jerome, Idaho; also one sister, Orpha of Armstrong. She was a member of the Congregational church at Reinbeck and also of Colnette chapter No. 273, O.E.S. of that place. Interment was made in the Reinbeck cemetery.
