The death of Mrs. Francis Elizabeth Maehrlein, wife of John Maehrlein, occurred at her home at Reinbeck, Saturday afternoon, March 27, of Bright's disease.

She was born Jan. 9th, 1860, in Norwich, Conn., and moved to a farm near Reinbeck in 1877 with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Cummings. She was married to John Maehrlein on March 16, 1885, and they settled on a farm near Reinbeck. Two children were born to them, Mrs. Mary Smith, of Charles City, Iowa, and John Jr., of Waterloo.

She was a member of the Congregational church and was a very active member. Funeral services were held from the home Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. and burial was in Reinbeck cemetery.
