Lorna L. Robertson, 94, of Reinbeck, Iowa, died Thursday, May 3, 2012, at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center, Iowa while under the care of Cedar Valley Hospice. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Monday, May 7, 2012, at the Saint John's Lutheran Church in Reinbeck, Iowa, with Pastor Bruce Boyce officiating. Burial will follow at the Reinbeck Cemetery in Reinbeck. Visitation will be Sunday, May 6, 2012, from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., with the family present to greet friends, at French Hand Funeral Home in Reinbeck. Memorials may be made to Parkview Manor's Building Project in Reinbeck.

Lorna was born November 11, 1917, on the family farm in rural Reinbeck, the daughter of Henry and Ellen (Emke) Ramsey. She grew up in the Reinbeck area attended St. John's Lutheran School and graduated from Reinbeck High School in 1936. After graduation Lorna attended Gates Business College in Waterloo. She was employed by Rath in Waterloo as a business secretary.

On June 25, 1943, Lorna was united in marriage to Paul Robertson at the Lutheran Church in Reinbeck. After Paul's discharge from the service they farmed north of Reinbeck until retirement. They continued to live on the farm until November of 2008 when they moved to Arlington Place in Grundy Center. After Paul's death Lorna moved back to Reinbeck. She was an active member at St. John's Lutheran Church in Reinbeck, was a member of the Dorcas Society.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling with her husband. Lorna was an avid bird watcher, she liked to sew, knit and make crafts.

Lorna is survived by her children, Ann Hillestad (Charles) of McMinneville, OR; Steve Robertson and his wife Debra of Reinbeck,; Jon Robertson and his wife Jamie of Hudson,; 4 granddaughters, Ellen (Brad) Schweppe of Reinbeck; Abbey Robertson of Des Moines; Lydia (Ali Al-Rabie) Robertson of Reinbeck; Emily (Tyler) Haskovec of Robins, IA; 4 grandsons, Collin Robertson, Las Vegas, NV; Evan Robertson of Des Moines; Nathan Robertson of Des Moines; Braden Robertson of Hudson; great grandchildren, Max, Alex and Sophia Schweppe, Sami , Rayyan and Lena Al-Rabie, Reese and Drew Haskovec, and a sister Lavonne Ramsey along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Paul in 2009 and brother, Elmer Ramsey.
