Mrs. Joe Klar Died Tuesday

Mrs. Joe Klar, wife of Joe Klar, passed away at her home in Clay township Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock. She had been a sufferer for two years from cancer.

Mrs. Klar's maiden name was Emilie Dittmann. She was born in Ruthleben, Germany, on February 4th, 1870. She came to this country at the age of seventeen and located at Aurora, Illinois. Two years later she was united in marriage to Charles L. Rohde. There were seven children born to this union. Mr. Rohde died in the year 1907. Seven years later the mother moved with her children to Dysart, Iowa. In 1918 she was married to Joe Klar and from that time until the present she resided on the Klar farm in Clay township.

Mrs. Klar is survived by her husband and seven children. The children are Fred Rohde, from Marshalltown; Edward, from Baxter; Mrs. Lee Miller, Aurora, Ill.; George Rohde, Detroit; Florence, Charles and Elizabeth, who are at home. Other surviving relatives are six step-children, nine grandchildren, five brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at the Presbyterian church at Conrad on Friday afternoon at 2:30. Interment will be made in the Conrad cemetery.
