Eleanor Koch, 92, of Reinbeck, passed away at her home on Monday, December 31, 2012. A funeral service will he held on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 1:30 P.M. at the French-Hand Funeral Home in Reinbeck. Visitation will be held a half hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Burial will follow services at the Reinbeck Cemetery in Reinbeck.

Eleanor was born on October 31, 1920 in Traer, Iowa, the daughter of Louis & Blanche (Sevcik) Halupnik. She married Don Koch in Cedar Rapids and the couple farmed north of Reinbeck on the family farm.

She enjoyed traveling, flowers and was a great cook. Eleanor will be dearly missed and long remembered by her family.

Eleanor is survived by her twin sisters Marion Samo of Grundy Center & Marcella Kostlan of Traer; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Don; brothers Edward, Ernest & George Halupnik and sisters Blanche Gloe & Martha Whipple.
