Anabel R. Speicher, 86, of Eldora, IA, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at Eldora Nursing and Rehab Center in Eldora. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Alice Church of God in rural Conrad. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the services at Alice Church of God. Arrangements have been entrusted to Anderson Funeral Homes. Memorials may be directed to Anabel's family.

Anabel Ruth Speicher, was born to Orval and Lura Belle (Bockes) Clinite, northeast of Grundy Center on December 8, 1928. She attended country school at Palermo and Beaver Townships before attending at both Conrad and Beaman schools where she was active in school plays and basketball. Anabel graduated from Marshalltown High School with the class of 1947. Her senior year of high school she worked at Woolworths and later spent time working at Strand Bakery in the office. On March 8, 1948 she was united in marriage to Merle Speicher in Amarillo, Texas. Five children: Craig, Jeff, Mark, Todd and Dana, were born to this union. Anabel worked part time after marriage and then spent 21 and a half years at Ritchies in Conrad.

Anabel accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior in 1996 and was baptized at the Liscomb Church of Christ. She loved her family, music, travel, flowers, scenery, and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

She is survived by her sons, Craig (Kathy) Speicher of Conrad, IA, Jeff (Janean) Speicher of Eldora, IA, Mark Speicher of Orlando, FL, and Todd (fiancé Marissa) Speicher of Union, IA; grandchildren, William (Lisa) Speicher and Amy (Randy) Shane-Nichols; great-grandchildren, Fiona, Liam, Joe and Mae; and several nieces and nephews.

Anabel was preceded in death by her parents, Orval and Lura; husband, Merle in 2010; daughter, Dana; sisters, Thelma, Ione, and Lola; and brother Don.
