He is survived by his wife and three children, his aged father, W. S. Derby, of Cedar Rapids, a brother, C. N. Derby and sister, Mrs. M. Hopkins, both of Cedar Rapids.

The out of town relatives who attended the funeral were two cousins, Will Derby, of Toddville and Frances Derby of Walker, and a niece, Mrs. Lyle Metzgar, of Grundy Center, and Mr. and Mrs. M. K. Miller, of Maquoketa, Iowa, also cousins.
