Death of Mrs. Lammert Sternberg

Mrs. Lammert Sternberg died at her home in this city last Friday following an illness of about a year. Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon and later at the German Presbyterian church, Rev. H. F. Sinning officiating.

Obituary
Mrs. Ettje Meinders Alberts Sternberg was born January 27, 1850, in Remels, East Friesland, Germany, and died in Grundy Center, Iowa, August 17, 1923, at the age of 73 years, 6 months and 20 days. She came to America in 1891 and in September of the same year she was united in marriage to Lammert Sternberg. This union was blessed with one child.

Eleven years ago they retired from actual work, and moved to Grundy Center. Her health began to fail about a year ago. She rallied at intervals but her advanced years could not overcome the disease and on Friday, death relieved her of her suffering.

She leaves to mourn, a sorrowing husband, three children, two by a former marriage, two step-sons, 3 step-daughters, besides numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the home and at the German Presbyterian church.
