Graveside Services For Mrs. DesMarias

Graveside service for Mrs. Maud Lillian DesMarias, 89, was held at 9 a.m. Monday at the Grundy Center cemetery with Rev. A. Harold Sparks in charge.

Mrs. DesMarias died Saturday at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for many months.

She was born August 8, 1875, at Jonesboro, Tenn., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Bayless. She was married to John DesMarias in 1906. He passed away in July, 1949.

Survivors include two daughters, Lillian DesMarias of Kahoka, Mo., and Dr. Varina DesMarias, Grundy Center; one brother, Wayne R. Bayless of Oxnard, Calif., and two sisters, Gertrude Bayless, Duarte, Calif., and Mrs. Homer M. Noble, Port Orford, Oregon.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
