Mrs. John Cramer Dies At Hospital After Heart Attack

Mrs. John Cramer, who had been a resident of Grundy county all of her life, died at the Grundy hospital at 11:30 Monday night. Six hours before her death she was stricken with a heart attack at her home. She was taken to the hospital at once following the attack. She had been in good health up to the time she was stricken, and had been about her home during the day attending to household duties. She was 79 years old.

The body was taken to the Engelkes funeral home where arrangements were made. Services will be held Friday afternoon at Bethany Presbyterian church in Grundy Center with Rev. A. J. Straatmeyer officiating. Burial will be in the Grundy Center cemetery.

Mrs. Cramer's maiden name was Margaret Abels. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Abels. She was born on a farm in Colfax township, August 6th, 1884. She grew up on a farm in Colfax township. On April 18, 1906, Margaret Abels and John Cramer were married at her home in Grundy Center. They observed their 58th wedding anniversary only two weeks ago.

During the early part of their married life the couple resided on Grundy county farms. In 1922 they moved to Grundy Center and that remained their home.

Surviving are the husband; two daughters, Mrs. Ubbie Petersen, Grundy Center, and Mrs. Hans Voss, Clarksville. There are six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
