She had been a patient in the Grundy County Memorial Hospital for three weeks in November for a heart condition and had recovered sufficiently to return to her home and her normal way of living.

Mrs. Saul was born in Salem, Wisconsin, in 1878, and came to Grundy county in 1895 to teach in the rural schools. She married George Saul on Sept. 7, 1898, and they lived from then on in the Reinbeck community. Mr. Saul passed away on Sept. 25, 1938.

Mrs. Saul's funeral was Saturday, January 11, at the United Church of Christ (Congregational) in Reinbeck, with burial in the Reinbeck cemetery.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Judson Severance of Grundy Center and Mrs. Wava Barnes of Ames; and by two sisters, Mrs. Luella Claussen of Reinbeck, who lived the past several years with Mrs. Saul, and Mrs. Mabel Turnock of Racine, Wis. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by a son, Frank Saul, at Webster City in 1959.
