Mrs. Jess Allgood Dies At Morrison

Mrs. Jess Allgood died Tuesday night at her residence in Morrison following an illness partly due to advanced age. She was 74.

The Ferree Service has arrangements in charge. The services will be at the funeral home Saturday afternoon at 1:30. The service will be conducted by Rev. E. Buschman. Burial will be in the Grundy Center cemetery.

Mrs. Allgood's maiden name was Eva Buchan.

There are four surviving daughters and two sons. The daughters are Mrs. J. B. McFarland, Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Roy Brandt, Cresco; Mrs. Harry Cooley, Morrison; and Mrs. Donald Ishman, of Lime Springs, Iowa. The sons are T. V. Allgood and William Allgood, Minneapolis. There are 16 surviving grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Other surviving relatives are three sisters, Mrs. Vera Kern, of Grundy Center; Mrs. Henry Peppier, Encinitas, Calif., Mrs. Christy Kerstetter, Charles City. Four brothers, William Buchan, Charles City; John of Waterloo, and Theodore and Michael of Minneapolis.

She was married to Jess Allgood March 5th, 1912. He died in 1958.
