Last Rites Held For Mrs. John Aman

Mrs. John Aman, 79, passed away Sunday morning at a nursing home in Marshalltown following a heart attack. She was the mother of Mrs. Don Stout, Holland, and Mrs. Lloyd Wagoner of Ackley; also the grandmother of Mrs. Raymond Huisman, Grundy Center.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday morning at the Biersborn Funeral Home in Union. Burial was in the Benson cemetery, east of Whitten.

Rites At Union For Daisy Aman, 79

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at the Biersborn Funeral Home in Union for Mrs. Daisy Aman, 79, who passed away Sunday morning at the Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Marshalltown.

The Rev. Jack Dowden officiated. Pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased, Raymond Huisman, Steven Egan, Dave Kritzer, Jerre Aman, Monte Aman and Roma Aman Jr. Burial was in the Benson Cemetery.

Daisy Leonard Aman was born February 12, 1885 in Yadkin County, N.C., the daughter of John and Sarah Leonard. She was married in 1904 to John Aman and had lived in the Union-Whitten area since 1910.

Surviving are eight children, Roman Aman, Norman Aman and Mrs. Helen Egan, all of Marshalltown, Harvey Aman of Morehead, Minn., Mrs. Zola Wagner and Mrs. Esther Rieken, both of Ackley, Mrs. Irene Stout of Holland and Mrs. Bessie Cronk of Modesto, Calif.; three sisters, Mayme Leonard and Mrs. Della Miller, both of Ashborn, N.C., and Mrs. Corinna Everheart of Lexington, N.C.; 17 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in August, 1954, one daughter in infancy and her parents.
