Mrs. Carsen Plaehn Dies At Worth.

Mrs. Carsen Plaehn died Tuesday morning in a hospital in Worthington, Minn., where she had been a patient for a short time. Death was due to advanced age and complications. She was 87 years old. Her husband died early this year at Worthington, Minn.

Mrs. Plaehn's maiden name was Margaret Strohbehn. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Strohbehn of Reinbeck. She grew up in the Reinbeck vicinity. After her marriage to Carsen Plaehn the couple made their home during their active lifetime on their farm in Grant township.

A number of years ago they moved to Worthington to make their home with their daughter, Mrs. Stella Vance, and husband.

The French funeral home at Reinbeck has made funeral arrangements. Services will be held Thursday at the United Church of Christ in Reinbeck. Burial will be by the side of her husband in the Reinbeck cemetery.

Preceding her in death were her husband and two sons, Louis and Roy.

Services Thursday for Mrs. Carson Plaehn

Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon at the United Church of Christ in Reinbeck for Mrs. Carson Plaehn, whose death was reported in the last issue of The Grundy Register. Burial was in the Reinbeck cemetery.

Mrs. Plaehn was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Strohbehn. She was born in the Reinbeck and Dike vicinity Nov. 30, 1876, and lived there continually until four years ago when she and her husband moved to the Samaritan Home in Jackson, Minn., to be near their daughter, Mrs. Vernon Vance, of Worthington, Minn.

Carson Plaehn and Margaret Strohbehn were married at Reinbeck and they observed their 70th wedding anniversary on January 31 of this year. Mr. Plaehn died Feb. 23 of this year.

Surviving is the one daughter, Mrs. Vance; 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
