Service Wed. For Roy Clapsaddle

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. this Wednesday at the Conrad Methodist church for Roy Clapsaddle, 77, who died Monday morning in an ambulance enroute to a Marshalltown hospital.

Rev. R. O. Grote officiated the service. Burial was in the Conrad cemetery.

Mr. Clapsaddle became ill at his home in Conrad early Monday morning, but died before he could be hospitalized.

The deceased lived all of his life in the Conrad area, where he farmed for many years.

He was born February 19, 1887, at Conrad, the son of George Lawrence and Carolyn Clapsaddle. On September 10, 1919 he married Lura Ferguson at Arapahoe, Colorado.

Survivors include his widow and one son, Jack of Conrad, two daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Lois) Nelson of Minneapolis, and Mrs. James (Peggy) Crawford of Cedar Rapids and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters.
