Henry Schulta Dies At Grundy Hospital

Henry W. Schulta died Sunday morning at the Grundy hospital following an illness of four months from cancer. He was taken to St. Mary's hospital in Rochester on June 2nd, and the last of the week was returned to the Grundy hospital. He was 73 years old.

The body was taken to the Engelkes funeral home where funeral arrangements were made. Services were at two p.m. Wednesday afternoon at the First Presbyterian church in Grundy Center, with Rev. Duane Heap officiating. Burial was in the Grundy Center cemetery.

Mr. Schulta was born on a Lincoln township farm and lived there until he and his wife moved to Grundy Center in 1950. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Harm Schulta. He was born September 13, 1891.

On October 1, 1914, Henry Schulta and Tena Meyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John P. Meyer, were married. They began their life together on the Schulta farm in Lincoln township.

Surviving are the wife, one son and five daughters. The son Elmer Schulta resides near Grundy Center. The daughters are Mrs. John Getting, Grundy Center; Mrs. James Erpelding, Dike; Mrs. Harley Brand, Waterloo; Mrs. Douglas Petersen, York, Nebraska; Mrs. Jack Weatherly, Cedar Falls; 13 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild, 1 brother, Harvey Schulta, Grundy Center; 1 sister, Mrs. Minetta Plesscher, of Long Beach, California.

A memorial has been established for the Cancer Fund.
