Joseph Glenn Thompson, son of W. A. and Ida Barnhill Thompson, was born at Arlington September 24, 1888. He was married to Bertha Osborn on Feb. 12, 1913, at Atlantic. Mrs. Thompson preceded him in death February 27, 1960.
Most of Mr. Thompson's life here was spent as a blacksmith, and in recent years he had lived at Minburn and at Perry. Death came to him last Friday at Perry. He was a member of the Methodist church in Conrad.
Surviving him are two sons, Daryle of Minburn, and Edgar of Iowa Falls, two daughters, Mona, Mrs. Bottenfield of Perry, and Jean, Mrs. Don Stetzel of Conrad; also nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services was held Monday afternoon at the Johnston Funeral Home. Russell Kruse sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beyond the Sunset" accompanied by Mrs. Van Graham.
Pallbearers were Leo Dodd, Robert Russie, Jim Jebousek, Arnold Smith, Iventon Carnes, and Ipe Cohen.
Interment was in the Conrad cemetery.
