Elizabeth Sinning Dies Sunday After Suffering Stroke

Miss Elizabeth Sinning suffered a stroke Saturday afternoon at Voy's station, where she had stopped with members of her family to have coffee on their opening day. She was taken at once to the Lutheran hospital in Hampton, where she died Sunday at 10:15 a.m.

The daughter of Sinus and Matilda Sinning, she was born in Hardin county on June 14, 1905. Following the death of her father, she and her mother moved to Ackley in 1920. She was graduated from Ackley high school and has been a rural school teacher for several years.

Miss Sinning was baptized in the Eastfriesland Presbyterian church, and after moving to Ackley became a member of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father and one brother, Harry.

Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. A. K. Arends of Ackley, Mrs. Henry Meyer of Britt, Mrs. H. J. England and Mrs. A. H. Nelson, both of Alden; and one brother, Henry of Steamboat Rock.

A prayer service was held at the home Wednesday followed by funeral services at St. John's church, with the Rev. Frank C. Kroll officiating. Interment was in the Eastfriesland church cemetery, where her parents are buried.
