Blumhoff Rites Held Wednesday

Mrs. Brune (Anna) Blumhoff died suddenly at her home early Sunday afternoon. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, July 28, at 1:30 at the East Friesland Presbyterian Church conducted by the Rev. Lee S. Feero. Prayer services were held in the family home at 1:15 p.m. Interment was in the East Friesland Cemetery.

Anna Duhn Blumhoff was born June 29, 1902 in Visquard, Germany to Elizabeth and Habbe Duhn. She came to the United States in June of 1923 and was married to Brune Blumhoff on September 30, 1925. The couple settled near Lennox, S.D. For the past 27 years the couple lived in the Wellsburg and Cleves area. Mrs. Blumhoff was baptized and confirmed in the Reformed church in Visquard and was a member of the East Friesland Presbyterian Church of Ackley.

Survivors include her husband; four sisters, Maria Baumann, Mrs. Dena Iwwenks and Mrs. Hilkae Iwwinks, all of Germany, and Mrs. Tetus Jutting of Cleves. Preceding her in death were her parents, one brother and one sister in Germany and one brother in Waterloo.
