Borchers Funeral Held Mon., Jan. 11

Funeral services for Mrs. J. A. Borchers were held Monday afternoon, Jan. 11, at 1:30 at the East Friesland Presbyterian Church, conducted by the Rev. Lee S. Feero. They were preceded by prayer service at the family home. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Anna Borchers was born January 26, 1901 in Grundy County, Iowa, the first of five children born to John and Antje Okones. Her youth was spent on a farm in Grundy County. On October 9, 1928, she was joined in marriage to Jakobus Borchers. In 1931, they moved to the Cleves community, where she resided until her death. She passed away at 8 a.m. Friday at her home after a brief illness.

Survivors include her husband; four children; Alvin of Newton, John of Des Moines, Gertrude of Battle Creek, Michigan and Lowell of Laredo, Texas; a sister, Tena; a brother, Harold, and three grandchildren.
