John Hook Died Friday At Marshalltown Hospital

John Hook died at the Deaconess hospital at Marshalltown last Friday following a short illness from pneumonia. He was 51 years old.

Funeral services were held at the home of his sister, Mrs. Andrew Olthoff at 12:30 Tuesday afternoon and later at the Reformed Church in Wellsburg with the local pastor, Rev. Wm. Landsiedel officiating. Burial was in the cemetery adjoining the church.

Mr. Hook was born on a farm in this community and resided here all of his life. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hook. He is survived by his father, a brother, Ben, and two sisters, Mrs. Andrew Olthoff and Mrs. Harm Reiter.
