Mrs. Wessel Harms Died Monday After Long Illness

Mrs. Wessel Harms died at her home southwest of town about 11 o'clock Monday forenoon following an illness of about a year from cancer. She was in the hospital at Marshalltown several weeks for treatment and was brought to her home from the hospital several weeks ago. Her death had been expected daily for more than a week before the end came.

Mrs. Harms was 65 years old. Her maiden name was Grace Jaspers. She was born in Shiloh township and spent all of her life in this locality.

Surviving are the husband, two sons and one daughter. The sons are Alvin and George, who are married and reside in this locality, and a daughter, Mrs. Walter Beenken from Titonka. There are three brothers and two sisters. The brothers are Ben from this county, Jake from Bruce, South Dakota, Nate from Clinton, Minn. The sisters are Mrs. Ben Meyer from Titonka and Mrs. Tilko Bunger from Wellsburg. There are two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the home Thursday afternoon and later at the Reformed church in Wellsburg, with the local pastor, Rev. Wm. Landsiedel, officiating. Burial will be in the cemetery adjoining the church.
