Carl O. Nederhoff Died Saturday At Hospital

Carl O. Nederhoff, who resided in Shiloh township all of his life, died last Saturday morning at the Eldora hospital. He suffered with a heart ailment a number of weeks. He was taken to the hospital the day before his death. He was 71 years old last December.

Funeral services were held at the home at one o'clock Tuesday and later at the Reformed church in Wellsburg. Rev. Wm. Landsiedel officiated at the service. Burial was in the cemetery adjoining the church.

Mr. Nederhoff was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Oldig Nederhoff, who were among the pioneer residents of this section of the county. He was born on a Shiloh township farm Dec. 26, 1872.

On February 5, --, Carl Nederhoff and Miss Ettie Bunger were married. They began housekeeping on a Shiloh township farm a short distance west of Wellsburg and that remained their home continually.

Mr. and Mrs. Nederhoff have five children, one son and four daughters. Coert is the only son. The daughters are: Mrs. Gertie Dirksen from Everly, Iowa; Mrs. Gerald Janssen, Tillie Nederhoff and Mrs. George Paterni. The unmarried daughter is at the home of her folks. Mrs. Janssen and Mrs. Paterni reside at Wellsburg.

Other surviving relatives aside from the wife are two brothers, Joe and Oldig. The three sisters are Mrs. M. C. Bunger, Mrs. H. C. Bunger and Mrs. Obbo Haupt, all residents of this community.
