Harry Terfehn Dies Suddenly

Harry Terfehn, who spent most of his life in Wellsburg and vicinity, died quite suddenly Monday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harvey George, at Iowa Falls. A heart attack was the cause of his death. He was 67 years old.

Funeral services will be held in the Reformed church in Wellsburg Thursday afternoon. Rev. Edw. Jurgens will officiate at the service. Burial will be in the cemetery adjoining the church.

Mr. Terfehn was born Oct. 28, 1884, in Wellsburg and he grew up here. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Aeilt Terfehn. In 1913 he and Nellie Rewerts were married. They resided on a farm a short time in Butler county, when they returned to Wellsburg. He was engaged in farming and carpentering during his active life. Two years ago he and his wife moved to Eldora. The past three months they were at the home of their daughter in Iowa Falls.

Surviving are the wife, one daughter, Mrs. Harvey George, one son, Al at Williams. There are three grandchildren. There are three sisters, Mrs. John Brower, Mrs. Herman Harrenstein and Mrs. Eggo Stohr, Clear Lake, S.D. There are two half-sisters, Mrs. Fred Getting, Grundy Center, and Mrs. Will Conradi, Dike; three half-brothers, Harm Diekman, of Parkersburg; Dick Diekman, of Hampton; George Diekman, Aplington.
