Siebe Diekman was born in Eilsum, Ostfriesland, Germany, January 16th, 1858 and died in Wellsburg, Grundy county, Iowa, March 11th, 1921, aged 63 years, 1 month and 25 days. He came to America in 1881 at the age of 23, and made his home in Grundy county, Iowa, residing here ever since. In 1891 he was married to Mrs. Meike Terfehn, born Meyer, and to their union were born five children, all of whom are living. They are George Diekman, Mrs. Amy Conradi, Harm and Dick, twins, and Mrs. Sarah Getting. The children by Mrs. Diekman's marriage, to whom Mr. Diekman was a good stepfather, are Fred Terfehn, Mrs. Eggo W. Stoehr, Mrs. John Brower, Henry Terfehn, Mrs. Herman Harrenstein and Mrs. Claus Harrenstein who was killed in an auto accident a few years ago.
