Mrs. Henry Conradi Dies Saturday From Paralytic Stroke

Mrs. Henry Conradi died at nine o'clock Saturday morning from the effects of a paralytic stroke five days before. The stroke rendered her helpless, though she remained conscious until near the end. Her condition from the first was regarded as very critical and she was given but a slight chance for recovery.

Funeral services were held at the home a mile southwest of Dike shortly before noon on Tuesday and later at the Lutheran church of Shiloh township where burial was made.

Mrs. Conradi was born in Lincoln township, Grundy county, January 15, 1873. Her maiden name was Kate Lingelbach. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Lingelbach. She remained at the home of her folks in Lincoln township until she was married to Henry Conradi in March, 1895. Following her marriage she and her husband began housekeeping on a farm in Pleasant Valley township which remained their home until five years ago when they moved to a farm near Dike.

Mrs. Conradi had a wide acquaintance over the county and she was held in high esteem by all who knew her. Her many friends were greatly shocked when they heard of her serious illness and their undivided sympathy go to the stricken family.

Surviving relatives are the husband, three sons and two daughters. The sons are Will, John and Niel. The daughters are Mrs. Elmer DeBower of Pleasant Valley township and Mrs. Frank DeBower of Butler county. There is one surviving brother, E. A. Lingelbach from Holland. There are four sisters, Mrs. C. Dirks, Mrs. John Dieken, Mrs. Emma Schaa and Mrs. Anna Wilts, all of Grundy county.
